It all began, sometime back in 2009, actually it was February 8th, I was the victim of a hit and run accident, while on vacation in Key West FL. I was airlifted to Miami where they had the trauma facilities to care for my worsening condition. Having never been in admitted to a hospital before and being all alone, I was very fortunate to have such quality care, as it turns out it was a top Hospital.
On the day I was released (Valentines Day), I was greeted at 6 am by my check out nurse Carrol. She appeared in the doorway like a vision of beauty to me, (like something out of a chick flick movie, where the guy know she’s the one). I knew I had to ask her out, but I looked like hell, and didn’t have the nerve to ask for her phone number. Keep in mind I just recovered from a head injury and orbital fracture to my face. I looked like Mike Tyson had used me for a punching bag!
I decided to write her a letter, get her some flowers and come back to the hospital to deliver them. As it turns out, she was already gone for the day when I returned, but one of her co-workers accepted the letter and flowers and called Carrol to let her know. As is turns out, she called me later that day and she was single and interested. We formed a long distance relationship and eventually she relocated to Pennsylvania.
The years have flown by and our love has grown immensely, to include two beautiful children. Austin a larger than life character with always something to say and our fireball Rylee!! We are truly blessed, and are looking forward to exchanging everlasting vows and celebrating our love before God, our dearest friends and family. We are happy to share the many wonderful moments of our special day with you! |
