Royston and I were taking a stroll in MovieTowne, a plaza located in Trinidad. We were looking for some place to eat dinner and relax after a very busy day. We went to about two restaurants looking at there menu, but just couldn't decide on what to eat right at that moment. So instead we decided to go to the casino up on the upper level to hangout for awhile.

We walked into the casino and simply walked around for a while before ending up at a electonic roulette table, where I tried my hand at a couple of games. I think I ended up winning like 30TT dollars and quit. After a couple of games we started to get hungry, but weren't quite ready to leave, so I asked Royston to see if they have food at the casino for purchase. He went up to one of the waitresses, and sat there talking for sometime, at the time I had no idea what they were talking about, and why it was taking so long to get an answer, so I turned my attention back to the roulette game.

Royston came back to the table and said that the waitress was going to get a menu and she would be right back. We kept playing, and then all of a sudden I heard over the loud speaker "Janelle and Royston, please come up to the front to claim your prize!" I was in shock because I did not remember signing up for any contest, but I did remember seeing sign that stated the first place winner would win a couple thousand TT dollars. 

When we walked up to the front the MC gave Royston the mic and he got down on one knee, and the rest is a blur! But it was all caught on tape (one of the managers at the casino videotaped the entire propasal, I have it if you would like to see :-)!) but of course I said yes!!!

We toasted our engagement with a bottle of champagne and the rest is history!
