When we first met:
A few of my girlfriends and I spontaneously decided to go up to Grafton Lake. As we ventured into the park, Will and a few of his friends started chatting with us. We all ended up hanging out at the beach together that day, and few of us decided to rent a boat while we were there. During our boat ride, Will and I started to talk more, and we really got along! As the day progressed, Will and I exchanged numbers. That night a few of us met up again briefly.
Will ended up going away on a cruise a few days after we met, and we still talked every day! At this point, we started becoming really interested in each other. It's funny because after only a few days of knowing each other, we started talking almost every day, even when he was on the cruise (which was really expensive to communicate with anyone). After Will got home from the cruise, he brought me back a gorgeous necklace, which was really sweet and thoughtful. We started going on a bunch of dates, and soon enough we were attached at the hip. Shortly after we started dating, I met Will’s family and he met mine and we fit right in with each other’s families. Right from the start as a couple, Will and I always did spontaneous things. We used to take day trips to Vermont and NYC, etc. We still do SOOO much together and more, but just when you first start dating someone, having all those exciting and romantic moments and getaways while still getting to know each other at the same time is really amazing.
5 happy years later, we are now venturing off to a new exciting and happy chapter in our life… marriage! I cannot be happier about sharing the rest of my life with William Kevin Blais. Thanks Grafton Lake for introducing us, even though I have a feeling we would have ended up together one way or another! |
