Erika was born in Langen, Germany. She grew up as one of six children, being closed to her younger brother Manfred. At age 17 she came to America for the first time as an exchange student. Erika attended Eisenhower HS in Yakima, Washington. In only seven short months as an exchange student, Erika realized that this was the country she wanted to live in...and her dreams turned into reality.
Over the next 4 years, Erika worked as a nanny, waitress and bartender while attending univeristy and getting her degree in education. Before she even graduated, she was offered a position as a German teacher, and her dream to stay in this country grew stronger again.
8 years later, on September 27, 2008...at a friends party...Erika met Matt for the first time. There was a mutual attraction, and sparks started flying immediately. His kindness and bright smile won her heart over quickly...
On December 20, 2012 Anabell Sophia was born and a new chapter in Erika & Matt's life began. They grew closer as a family and knew that they were destined to stay together...
