Let's just say we go "way back"!

How many of you R& B lovers remember the 1989 song “Start of a Romance” by Skyy? Well I guess this is what you could call the start of “ The Tammy & Micah Romance”   

Micah and I actually met at the Capital Center while attending a concert back in 1989.  Micah's cousin and my dear friend Kina introduced us during intermission. We dated throughout my senior year of high school and we were quite the couple.  As you can see in the photo; Micah was my senior prom date.  Although I left the area after high school to attend Norfolk State University (unwillingly I might add); we always remained friends and kept in contact.  An occasional phone call when he passed my grandma’s exit to say hello, a quick text here and there was all  we needed to remain close yet at a comfortable distance so as not to interfere with one another’s current situations.

Through the years life simply  happened and our lives took on separate paths. In 2014, we reconnected and went on a dinner date. We had the best time catching up and rekindling our friendship. It was the sweetest reunion I can remember.  

They say “timing is everything” and I am now a true believer. Never question His timing, for He knows best. We are both forever grateful for the powers that be for bringing us back together and blessing us with one another’s love at the perfect time. Ever since, we’ve been inseparable to say the least. It’s been an amazing journey filled with so many new and old memories that simply sweeten the deal. It’s clear that we are meant  to be together in this lifetime and Micah showed up and continues to shine as my  beloved Knight in Shining Armor.
